Dermatological side effects are among the most frequent and disruptive complications of cancer treatment. Rashes, burns, folliculitis, hairloss and painful skin reactions can lead to emotional distress, social withdrawal, and, in too many cases, treatment interruption.

Action

Mechanism of action

Tarian Gel mimics the effects of cooling devices by inducing a transient yet effective vasoconstriction of superficial cutaneous blood vessels. Instead of relying on physical cooling, it achieves controlled pharmacological vasoconstriction—offering the key advantage of being painless while allowing for precise alignment with the pharmacokinetics of each chemotherapeutic.
By modulating cutaneous microcirculation, Tarian Gel reduces local bioavailability of chemotherapeutic agents, aiding in the prevention of dermatologic adverse events.
The active ingredient, brimonidine tartrate, is a selective alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist responsible for this vasoconstrictive effect.
